It’s one of the most critical roles on any senior living community’s leadership team, and Rachel Claiborne has the background, experience and credentials to hold the title of Director of Health Services at Clarendale at Bellevue Place.

With sincerity and enthusiasm, she is committed and eminently qualified to administer the highest level of care to our assisted living and memory care residents.”
So, what exactly does a Director of Health Services do? Directors like Rachel Claiborne are responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the health and well-being of residents. She also plays an important communications role at Clarendale at Bellevue Place. As a trusted, professional go-to source for information, family members can rely on Claiborne for updates and guidance about their loved one’s total health and day-to-day care.
“I love my job because it’s so rewarding,” says Claiborne. “Although, honestly, calling what I do a job or work doesn’t really apply. It’s my passion. It’s a joy overseeing the care of each resident and interacting with their families at Clarendale.”
In terms of formal qualifications, Claiborne is a Nurse Practitioner who brings more than 15 years of experience in health care and senior care to the position of Director of Health Services at Clarendale at Bellevue Place. Her educational achievements are impressive, too. Claiborne graduated with highest honors from Vanderbilt University receiving a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner.
Additionally, her affiliation and participation with industry-leading organizations underscore Claiborne’s commitment to remaining connected with other credentialed colleagues and current on the latest advancements in nursing. She is an active member of the American Nurses Association, Tennessee Nurses Association, The Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association, The Gerontological Society of America, the Vanderbilt University Iota chapter of Sigma Theta Tau Honors Society of Nursing and The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
With nursing experience ranging from geriatrics, neurosurgery, neuro-intensive care and traumatic brain injuries to post-acute care, post-operative care, adult medicine and primary care, our Director of Health Services is uniquely qualified to address the diverse needs of Clarendale residents.
